Easy Beef Stroganoff Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 Lb beef strips boneless sirloin
- 1 onion chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ pound mushrooms
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tbsp black pepper
- ½ tbsp creole seasoning
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp chili flakes
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 8 oz sour cream cup
- 2 cornstarch
- 1 tsp bouillon powder
- ⅓ cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Season beef strips with bouillon, creole seasoning, salt and black pepper. Leave to stand for 10 mins. Bring out the beef broth. Add a little water to the cornstarch to form a slurry, transfer to the broth. Add in the soy sauce and stir together. Set aside.
- Add oil to skillet or pan, add a little butter and cook the beef in batches until brown. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter, add the onions, garlic and chili flakes and mushrooms. Cook for 2 minutes. Add back the beef strips and the broth, cook for 2 minutes. Now add the heavy cream and sour cream, stir and leave to thicken. Serve with rice, pasta or egg noodles.
