Why I Don’t Strain the Juice

Many homemade juice recipes call for straining, but I prefer leaving the pulp in the juice. The pulp contains fiber, which helps create a more satisfying drink and may help slow down the absorption of natural sugars found in fruits and vegetables.

Keeping the pulp also reduces food waste and allows you to enjoy more of the nutrients from the carrots and oranges.

Can I make carrot juice without a juicer?

Yes. A blender works well. Simply blend the ingredients with water and enjoy the juice with the pulp or strain if desired.

Storage Tips

Fresh carrot juice tastes best when consumed immediately after making it.

If you have leftovers:

  • Store in an airtight glass jar or bottle.
  • Refrigerate promptly.
  • Consume within 24 to 48 hours for the freshest flavor.
  • Shake well before serving, as natural separation will occur.
  • Avoid leaving juice at room temperature for extended periods.

For the best taste and nutritional value, make only what you plan to drink within a day or two. Some other fruits that pair well with carrot juice are apples, pineapple, mango, peaches, and, lemons pair especially well with carrots.
